QR Code Event Photobooth

28 Jun

On June 16, Youth Unlimited North York brought together fundraisers and volunteers and build the worlds largest QR Code.  you can lean more about the details of the event at theqrcode.ca and you can see a video below.

One of the ways that I was involved in the event as a sponsor was by setting up a photobooth, we had some fun individuals and groups come through and we e-mailled them their pictures so that they could tweet and share them during the event.

In the end, we did create the worlds largest scannable QR Code and are currently waiting on word from Guinness to see if they will accept the attempt.  Here are some shots from the day.

Contest Winners Photoshoot

27 Jun

Remember the contest I put together? Well Laura submitted the winning entry and we did a photoshoot the night before the QR Code event.  They had already had an eventful day and the kids were a little tired, but we had a fun walk and were able to get some nice shots.  Don’t be surprised if you see some more of them in the future…

Youth Unlimited North York And YU Revolutions Earn-A-Bike Launch

10 Feb

Youth Unlimited  North York and YU Revolutions has officially launched their Earn-A-Bike program.  The program is giving 9youth from the Willowdale area of Toronto the opportunity to learn complete care and maintenance of a BMX bike from assembly on.  Through the 7 week program they will learn how to properly maintain and repair a BMX bike and at the successful completion of the program they will have earned the bike as their own!  The program is being hosted at Spring Garden Church and is in partnership with Silent Sports

I have the privilege of being a part of the program, photographing this evening and again as they wrap things up by riding their new bikes at Joyride 150 on the closing evening of the program
