New Initiative For The New Year

With the new year, I’ve decided to incorporate more giving into what I do.  From this point forward 10% of all prices will go directly to the Scott Mission Camp.  The Scott Mission Camp is a ministry extension of The Scott Mission.  I worked in the camp department for 3 1/2 years and the children and youth there hold a special place in my heart.  Giving back in this way drives me to do more business not only for myself but as a way to further pour into the lives of these wonderful children and youth.

In addition, I am offering special rates on all sessions and prints for all who are connected to the Scott Mission.  please inquire by Email

I Love The Fall

I wasn’t in the office on Friday, so I took the opportunity after dropping my daughter off at school, to get out and capture this beautiful time of year. We really do have a beautiful province here in Ontario. These shots were all captures less than 10 minutes from my home, just north of the zoo. With the stump shot and the leaf, I played around with a little creative bokeh, an effect that works much better with background lights but still did a lot to separate foreground from background.

Nathan Alexander McIntyre- 1 Month

Nathan may be the cutest 1 month old i know right now, but then again, I could just be a little biased. Even still, I doubt you’ll find a baby who is as laid back and easy going as he was in these pictures. Here’s hoping that carries into adolescence and beyond.

New Website And Blog

There’s a whole lot happening in the life of jmphotography. This week has seen my first engagement shoot (Shots to appear here shortly) My first hanging of work, and the launch of the new site and this blog. I had the opportunity to shoot the engagement of my good friend Trevor and his beautiful fiancé Zuska, and as I said some of those shots will be up soon. They were the perfect couple for a first time engagement shoot! Starbucks at Yonge and Avondale (Sheppard) has given me space to hang my work. I’ve also talked to a couple of other locations and have secured space for futer showings. And fianally, the new site is up!
