Shooting Strangers In The Street

A while back I posted a series of images that I shot after setting up a “Street Studio” you can see that post here

As well as planned and agreed upon street shooting, I am also quite interested in the candid guerrilla style of street photography.  I have been reading and following a few incredibly talented street photographers as of late.  Thomas Leuthard and Erik Kim in particular have an inspiring approach to street photography.  If you get a chance to read their blogs, do yourself a favour and watch some of their videos on shooting strangers in the street.  I got out at lunchtime today and shot as though I was one of them, although they may say that I didn’t get close enough into people’s faces.

Baby steps.

Apparently this guy just couldn’t get enough of the camera.  He may have been my favourite too!  

Olympic Torch Relay In Toronto

How often does the Olympic torch come through town? Once in a lifetime, I’m told. It’s actually come through three times in my lifetime but only now have I been an the opportunity to capture the moment. Here are some pictures from the Olympic Torch Relay as it passed by Yonge and Sheppard.

Noticed In North York

I take a lot of walks to Starbucks throughout the course of my week. I usually use the walk as an opportunity to catch up with one of my co workers, as a walk and a coffee are always a great conversational opportunity. But sometimes I go alone, I throw the earbuds in and bring my camera along with me. these are a few shots from my solo walk last week.
